Hole 18 is the signature hole, par 5 with a ditch in front of the green, to hit the green in 2 requires a perfect tee shot and a very accurate fairway wood, the green is severely sloped left to right. A par here is a good as it gets.

Pattaya Country Club Golf Resort has recently re-opened after a lengthy closure and has been extensively renovated. Not the most exciting course in Pattaya but one of the closest to the town and ideal for high handicappers and those trying to stretch their budget.
In the hills behind Pattaya, conveniently located just off the main Pattaya-Rayong motorway, bordered by pineapple and palm plantations lies the upgraded Pattaya Country Club.
An interesting layout with split fairways and some cleverly located bunkers but not too much water to spoil your card.
The front nine are pretty straightforward and it is not until your reach the 9th which is a long uphill par-4 and rated the most difficult on the course that things start to get interesting and could lead to a dropped shot.
The back nine is much more interesting with several water hazards in play. Hole 11 is a particularly interesting and challenging par-5 with several bunkers to negotiate and a stream which crosses in front of the raised green.
They have recently completed a brand new clubhouse with state-of-the-art facilities.
Bangpra International Golf Club is one of the oldest golf courses in the Pattaya area, built in 1958 and updated in the late 1980s, and still able to compete with some of the newer courses thanks to the mature trees that stand as a testament to the longevity of the course.
The course is best remembered for its long par 3’s – all of which are more than 180 yards from the blue tees and the 17th is particularly daunting as it plays more than 200 yards with water most of the way to the green. The par 5’s are also long and on the front 9 the par 5, 5th has a green partially protected by a water hazard so you need to be in the right position for your approach to the green. The par 5, 7th is the longest hole on the course measuring 623 from the back tees but fortunately most of it is downhill so it’s just about reachable in regulation for most of us.
The back nine is a bit of a let-down after the front nine and is much flatter with wide open fairways with only light rough along the edges. However this doesn’t mean that you will score well as there are a number of difficult holes. These include the two par 3s, the 12th and the 17th which demand long tee shots over water. The stretch of holes form the 12th also involve water carries to often elevated greens which due to their shape tend to throw balls off into the surrounding swales. Nice easy finishing hole with a wide open fairway which should mean you are in good spirits as you end you round.
Unusually the excellent clubhouse offers Japanese-style baths and Japanese cuisine in the restaurant so if your round has not gone according to plan then you can relax and enjoy a great meal.
We thoroughly recommend this course which despite its age still compares favourably with some of the newer layouts and remains a firm favourite of golfers in Pattaya.

Significantly, it offers golfers with different feel than St.Andrews2000 and Rayong Green Valley courses. It ideally has wider fairways and larger greens but yet requires a decent short game. The Royal Chiang Mai Golf Course was designed by Peter Thompson, five times British Open Champion. The design is reminiscent of a traditional British Parkland course with some interesting “links” additions. The course is heavily tree-lined and water hazards are in play on almost every hole. The “Rough” is true to the meaning of the word.
From the very back “blue” tees the course measures over 7,200 yards and can be a severe test, but from the men’s “white” tees the course is pleasant and relaxing. Bunkers use local sand from The Mae Ping river. The greens are Tiff Dwarf Bermuda with Bermuda 419 and Zoysia fairways. The course has a driving range and two practice putting and chipping greens.
Eastern Star has been the venue for local and regional golf tournaments. It offers plenty of challenge for the experienced golfer, but also offers enjoyment for beginners. This Course is a " Think Man's Course " that can be successfully navigated with a little strategy and well-positioned shots. Tall mature coconut trees and some mango trees define the holes, enhanced by areas rich in flowers. There are numerous dog legs and a lot of water along the 18 fairways of Eastern Star.
The golf course can play quite long, particularly from the championship blue tees. The signature hole is the picturesque par 3 thirteenth, which lulls players into admiring the scenery. An accurate tee shot over water is required so as to stay out of the deep bunker or the lake on the right of the green. The key is play to the center of the green or slightly to the left. Too far left however, is sand and deep rough. Over the green gives entails negotiating a difficult down-hill putt. If the hole appeared intimidating from the tee, look back from the green for an entirely different perspective.
With open fairways this is surely a course to suit beginner and experienced golfers alike. There is a good practice area and driving range in addition to a basic clubhouse providing a wide range of facilities locker rooms. The restaurant, like most Thai golf.

Cascata Golf Club is uniquely designed to be a Paradise for Golf Lover. In 2004, Dr Thanawat Saprungrueng and his team started the project that turned flat rice paddy into an exclusive golf paradise.
By October 2006, the team had finished the first 18 holes (Course A and B) with the concept of a “tropical golf experience”. The inspiration of this concept originated from the fact that Thailand is located in a tropical zone of the world and is enriched with various plants, hence the designer would like to present golfers the true beauty of Thailand’s nature.
By 2007, the C course is open for public. Immediately, it has become famous for its “Tropical link” concept. The designer has turned a flat rice paddy to a hilly Scottish link style golf course. In addition, the designer incorporates a touch of a local taste of golf by adding water into the course. This results in a stunning fusion we named “Tropical link” course. To enhance this Tropical link experience, the designer uses the particularly beautiful plant called “Love grass” to capture golfers’ feeling. The love grass will catch sunlight during sunrise and sunset and will reflect this sunlight into water giving golfers their perfect golf experience.
By October 2014, the D course is open for public. The D Course is designed challenge golfer with new layout and golfing experience. It is a creek and valley golfing experience. There are holes that will give golfers a tight air to attack the hole, making them feel as if they are playing between narrow mountain. Then it compensated with a valley experience which releases golfers from the tension.
